About Gujarat Police Constable Recruitment
The Gujarat Police Recruitment Board (GPRB) through the Lokrakshak Recruitment Board (LRD) has conducted one of the largest constable recruitment drives for the 2024-25 cycle. Under Advertisement No. GPRB/202324/1, around 12,000 Lokrakshak (Constable) posts are being filled as part of a total of 12,472 vacancies across Constable, SRPF and PSI posts.
The recruitment has reached its final stage. After the Physical Test, Written Exam, and Document Verification, the Board has declared the Provisional Merit List on 02 December 2025. A total of 11,925 candidates have been provisionally selected.

Educational Qualification
- •10+2 (Higher Secondary) or equivalent from a recognized board
- •Knowledge of Gujarati or Hindi language
- •Basic computer knowledge as per state government norms

Physical Standards
For Male Candidates:
- •Height: 165 cm (162 cm for Gujarat ST candidates)
- •Chest: 79 cm (unexpanded), 84 cm (expanded) – minimum 5 cm expansion required
For Female Candidates:
- •Height: 155 cm (150 cm for Gujarat ST candidates)
Physical Efficiency Test (PET) and Physical Standard Test (PST) are qualifying in nature. Candidates with fake or tampered physical certificates can be permanently debarred.
Nationality & Other Conditions
- •Candidate must be a citizen of India
- •Gujarat domicile is mandatory to claim reserved category and age relaxation benefits
- •No disqualifying tattoos as per government rules (religious symbols on permitted body parts may be allowed)
- •Candidate must be of sound health, free from serious physical defects, and medically fit as per police norms
Exam Pattern & Selection Process
The Gujarat Police Constable selection consists of Physical Tests (PET/PST), Written Examination (200 marks, 3 hours), Document Verification, Additional Marks allocation and Final Merit List followed by medical exam.
Written Examination
Offline OMR-based written exam of 200 marks with a duration of 3 hours, conducted on 15 June 2025. The paper is divided into Part A (80 marks) and Part B (120 marks).

Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
PET & PST were conducted before the written examination. Candidates had to qualify in PET to be eligible for the written exam.
For Male Candidates:
- •5000 meters race: To be completed in 25 minutes
For Female Candidates:
- •1600 meters race: To be completed in 9 minutes 30 seconds
For Ex-Servicemen:
- •2400 meters race: To be completed in 12 minutes 30 seconds
Document Verification & Additional Marks
Document Verification (DV) was conducted from 17 to 30 September 2025 in Gandhinagar. Candidates were called in a 2:1 ratio against the available vacancies. Original documents and additional marks proofs were verified.
- •Total candidates shortlisted for DV: 22,164
- •General: 10,333 · SEBC: 5,737 · EWS: 2,781 · SC: 1,631 · ST: 1,682 · Ex-Servicemen: 27
- •82 candidates were disqualified for malpractice or document discrepancies.
Additional Marks Structure (વિશેષ ગુણ ભારાંક)
- •NCC "C" Certificate: +2 Marks
- •Rashtriya Raksha University (RRU) / National Forensic Science University (NFSU): 1 Year – 3 Marks, 2 Years – 5 Marks, 3 Years – 8 Marks, 4+ Years – 10 Marks
- •Sports (National/International Level): 5% of total marks for eligible sports like Athletics, Kabaddi, Kho-Kho, Wrestling, Weightlifting, Boxing, Shooting, etc.
- •Widow Women (વિધવા મહિલા): 5% of total marks (only if not remarried)
All additional marks are added after written exam marks and verification. Fake or unverified certificates can lead to cancellation of candidature.
